Daejon

Topic : describe your hometown

Daejon which is my hometown is located the center of Korea. It means, my city has a locational advantage so that I can go everywhere in Korea by short time. Most big highways through North to South are in Daejon, and also, almost transportations which are trains and buses are also through the city. The inside of Daejon is more perfect than outside. All the subways and buses are related so that we don't need to ride over two times when we want to go somewhere in Daejon. This is the way to use the transportation in inside tha you just apply the card when your frist ride, and then when you transfer, do it again same as you did. One more good thing is the international airport. It is out of the city but it just far from the city only 30 minute so the city is not crowded for the airport and has a aiprort nearby. Why don't you come and use that comfortable? I will be your guide.

Oil Pollution

Topic : tell about something bad that actually turned out good in the end

Last December, there was a big accident the western sea in South Korea. Hebei Spirit which is a oil tanker was hitted the crane. The oil had been spread the ocean and it had been moved to the beach. Most of the western beach had been getting dark. West sea was a death place. After that accident, a number of volunteers visited the west sea to clean up the oil. President, politicians, entertainers, teachers and students, and even babies with their parents came to the west sea and helped to clean. As a result, the remains of the accident looks dissapeared eventhough that isn't percert now. It will be better than before cause many volunteers still visit there to clean up.

U.S / Atlanta

Example) Something about the U.S. / Atlanta that surprised you.

Topic : transportations

Before I came to the U.S, I hadn't have a car. Because the public trasportaion system in my country is very clear. Every buses and subways are linked to go anywhere. However, here in Atlanta, the public trasportaion is very bad. One reason that everyone knows is the big land of the U.S. Actually, my country Korea is as small as one state of the U.S so that is why Korea's has better than the Atlanta's. The other reason is the linking system. In my country, there is a card which can connect from the first taken vehicle to the second. It means I don't need to pay twice eventhough I take two linked vehicle and it goes everywhere in the city since every place has a platfrom at minimum. It could be bus stop or subway station.
I was uncomfortable before I bought a car here because I can't move anywhere without someone's help. Basically these two countries have different environment but I hope it will be better as good as my country to go everywhere without my own car.

PETS

Examples)
- Do you have a pet? What is it?
- Many people in the U.S have dogs or cats. Which is better?
- Do people in your country keep pets? Why or why not?
- Do you like pets? Do you want a pet?

Topic : Pets

Topic Sentence : There are some differences between dogs and cats.

I had two pets which are dog and cat. My parents bought me Shi Tzu for my 14th birthday present. It had been born two weeks. He followed me well even I call his name. The only one problem was the excrement. He excreted everywhere despite trainning that we tried him to do many times. However, the cat which we recieved from my brother's friend was very good at about that. She always did it the same place that we prepared. Some cats can't hear the sound. My cat, Turkish angora is that race so she couldn't hear any sound even her name that we call and she played alone and slept the top places against the dog. The cat just came to me when she had been feeling starving. These two different pets have merits and faults but both of them are very good pets that everyone loves.
